Imaginary Crafternoon

Since my vacation has turned out to be a lot of sitting around trying to calm a fever (and now, waiting for blood test results. I miss you, health insurance!) I have been thinking about all of the things I would like to make when I get back to my craft room. I purchased some fabric with specific ideas a couple months ago and I’m itching to follow through on them. Of course, I have to unpack it first. The original plan was to splurge on a new Bernina, but now I’m not sure about that. Maybe I’ll start on the smaller projects first. I thought I’d list some of them I’d like to make lest I forget!

*Cloth Napkins (so nice to use all of the time, and less waste for the world)
*Quilted Hot Mitts/Pads (we need them! and I’ve been collecting orange and yellow bits for ages now thinking about them)
*Curtains (maybe, must determine hanging situation)
*Built By Wendy Dress from this lovely giraffe fabric. I may wait to get the new machine for this though, it will be my first try with jersey.
*A few Built By Wendy shirts, including one in the yellow scheme of this sundrop print.

That would be a nice start. Sorry for the lack of photos lately- I don’t have my laptop here but maybe I’ll be able to upload some by next week to share. The drive down to Texas was breathtaking.

  • So many of your recent posts have struck a chord with me... loving Yellowstone, missing health insurance, listing the crafts that you want to get to as soon as you can. I feel like I'm reading my own posts when I pop over here! I hope you feel better soon so you can start on that list.

  • Hope you feel better soon!

Have fun setting up your craft room. Please post about the hot mitts/pads when you make them. I'd love to see them. :)

  • when I read your post on "tiny choices" I thought about making cloth napkins too :)

    maybe in patchwork even!

    be well

    Mary

  • that all sounds LOVELY! i hope you feel better soon, and i can't wait to see your imaginary crafting become real!
