Moving Slowly

That’s me, above, excited to sell my wares at the Holiday Bazaar. Possibly too excited, as barely anyone came by. Due to a mix of poor advertising and who else knows what, I barely sold a thing. I’m not going to lie- it was a let down. But that just means there’s more stuff in my etsy shop for fun people like you. Have a look if you like– I’ve updated all of the hats, some sewn journals, and a few button necklaces. More will trickle in if I start feeling a little  better, but I think I caught that cold that’s been going around on the internets.

No silly, I know you can’t catch a cold from the internet. But I definitely have something, so I decided to try this Turkey Curry Meatball Soup. It was easy to make and also delicious– plus it helped clear up my sinuses a bit.  I’d halve the recipie if I made it again since there are only two of us. I think it’d also be good with turkey or chicken chunks if you’re not a meatball fan. All of the ingredients were done to perfection just by following the recipie, so give it a shot if you’re feeling brothy.

  • I made that soup, too, last month and I agree - delicious! I froze our leftovers (three nights' worth!) and they made for nice, easy suppers that way.

I have not been reading so much lately, so I'm commenting on a couple of things here. The Christmas cards are SO pretty and cute. They look like the type of cards one can buy at trendy design stores in Bangkok, very cool! Sorry about the Holiday Bazaar. Things like that has such a nasty way of bumming one out. I like the hat on the middle branch on the left hand side of three, really cool colors and pattern. And the soup looks and sounds very delicious, will have to give it a go soon! -bordeaux

  • Craft shows are hit and miss as far as I can tell. My first show? I sold NOTHING. I broke even on my 2nd and 3rd shows. This last one is the first one where things were selling all day long. They are fun, though, just a great opportunity to chat with other crafters and vendors. :o)

thanks all! i am sure it happens to everyone, it was just disappointing. but, now i have a bunch of inventory, so yay!

  • Hi, love your site and the stuff in your Etsy shop (I use a lot of buttons in my stuff too). You're so cute up there at your craft booth. I know EXACTLY how you feel--earlier this spring I participated in a fair that really had NO advertising, so . . . I set up a cute booth, made cookies for everyone--and I sold 5 things, 2 of them to my friend. It's disheartening to sit there with all your cute stuff. But now you have a well-stocked Etsy shop, so . . . anyway, de-lurking to say cute site, cute stuff.
