It’s Oh So Quiet

Sorry for all of the quietude here.. just trying to wrap things up (well, not literally, thanks TSA) before we leave for Texas next week. And, in my defense, it’s been 20 below for the past few days. Not inspring. Just punch-you-in-the-face cold!  But here’s a really simple crocheted ornament tutorial I posted at CraftStylish–  they are quick and easy, and you can take them as far as you like. I think they’d be cute on a garland, too. Bonus points if you use your scrap yarn.

And since I’m terrible at keeping surprises, I’m just going to show you this one ornament I made without telling you where it’s going. It’s a cozy little house. I was a little sad to ship it off, but I can make more.

Hope you are all staying warm where you are!

Just stumbled on your blog via the comments on Polka Dot Creations. Where in Montana? I live in Manhattan. Do you live in Bozeman? I kind of picked that up from some comments on the "about me" page. Maybe we've had booths at the same craft shows!! I'll be bookmarking your blog for sure!

    Merry Christmas

  • but could we handle it if, say, we've never held crochet needles? i knit but... those ornaments make me want to take up a new hobby!

  • hi Linda! I'm sending you an ornament for Los Calicos Locos swap and need your mailing address. i was planning to ship it on Saturday, but you're leaving town...send it anyway? or wait until you're back in town?

your crocheted house is quite charming. xx,kristin

I really think I could handle making those crochet ornaments, which I am determined to try over Christmas weekend. I just adore that crochet house! I can't get over how cute it is, especially resting next to a soft tree.

  • Those are so cute!
