Last Day for Free Shipping!

Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who purchased something from the Hope For Jasenn Shop. I am well on my way to my fundraising goal and everyone has been so lovely! Thanks also to those of you who have contacted me about donating things for the shop-I think I’ve responded to all of you but if not, send me another e-mail. People have been asking if there will be another update sometime (since we’re all busy with holiday crafting right now). The answer is: I think so. I think I will “close” the shop around the 15th of December so no one will need to worry about shipping right up to Christmas, and so there won’t be any “didn’t get it in time!” worries. So if you want to make something special for the shop after you’re done with holiday stuff, I’m thinking I’ll do another update sometime in early January–just email me when you have a completed item. I’m also adding things as I get them until then.

And a reminder- today is the last day for free shipping. I might do another free shipping date sometime before the holiday closure, but now’s your best chance to snap things up. I just added some earrings I made this weekend…

And tomorrow I’ll be adding some more hats. I’d do it now, but I MUST get back on track with the whole working thing.

I did a lot of crafting this weekend. I really, truly, did not work on anything work related and that was SO nice. Sometimes it can be hard to separate things, there’s that guilty feeling of working on something fun when you could be working on something…for work. Or maybe only I get that feeling? Anyway, it was nice. It was all xmas stuff, though, so instead of showing it to you I’ll show you some bowl variations. Remember the bowls? I’ve been playing with some more ideas.

2

For this one, I played with adding a rick-racky edge on the top. It came out pretty neatly, but was a royal pain. I like it more now that I’ve been staring at it for a while (I completed these a few weeks ago, at least. I figure I’m not spoiling anyone’s surprise since I don’t even know who is getting what).

I also tried changing the shape at the bottom, making the sides wavy as I traveled up the bowl. You kind of have to see this one to appreciate it, but you get the idea. I think I’m done with bowls for a little while (because now I’m on a knitting kick), but I’m sure I will revisit them in the future.

  • Linda, I'm just catching up here after two weeks away from blog reading, and as always, I love what I see here. First off, I'm so glad to see that sales in your etsy shop for your brother-in-law have been going so well. I also wanted to tell you how fabulous your earrings look (love their punchy tags), and those bowls are gorgeous. You and your craftiness never cease to amaze me!

  • those bowls are FABULOUS! i love them both. i just got some clothesline so i can try my hand at one, just a simple one since Sophie needs little baskets for toys all over the house...

  • WOW! Those bowls are so amazing! I'm really loving the colors and shape of the last one.

  • Those fabric bowls are to die for.

  • Linda, that top bowl is absolutely marvelous! And glad to hear the shop is going well! I have hopes that I will have something knit by January to include.
