Finished!

I finished my Paige Sweetheart Top (ravelry link) from Blueprint Crochet today– I love it!!

Here it is, buttons and all. I got some cute clear buttons with flowery decals at Joann’s to complete it, since they are having their big memorial day sale. Here’s the back view:

The best part is that I can actually see myself wearing this. I like the laciness, the shape (which I was unsure of till the last minute) and that the sleeves actually cover my upper arms.  Since it’s a sample for the shop, I have to let it live there for a while, but I look forward to getting it back!

  • Hi Linda!

I'm working on the Paige Sweetheart Top, and I have a quick question about construction. When it says to leave a long tail of the yarn at the end of each motif for connecting, do you remember how long a tail you used? I've made my first motif, and I left about 12 inches, and I'm hoping that this will be enough. Thank you for sharing your lovely projects. You continue to inspire and encourage, and I am very grateful! :-)

  • What a gorgeous cardigan, Linda! I went right over to your Ravelry link to find out how to get the book. Now it's on reserve for me from the local library. I can't wait to try the pattern myself! I'm just about finished with my first pair of knit lace socks, so it would be wonderful to be able to start on this crocheted lace cardigan. Thanks for sharing!
  • Wow it's amazing!
  • Really pretty! You really make me feel like taking up my crochet hooks! I even put on my To-Do-List for this week to go visit the local yarn shop! I don't think I can manage a top like yours, but I might start with a little crocheted bag. Thanks for the inspiration!

  • Oh wow, it is beautiful. You have such a talent. It is beautifully made and what a great colour. It's gorgeous! Well done!
  • It looks really great, I can understand why you're looking forward to it coming back from the shop!
  • Very cool. I started the one in the Happy Hooker and decided not to follow through. The yarn I used was a little too bulky. Yours looks fab.
  • Wow, this is adorable! I love the color, the lace pattern, and it looks like a great fit on you. Love it!
  • Ooh, that's so pretty, and it looks so cute on you! Lovely.
