Sew Simple

It’s time for another blatant self promotion post! I wanted to share this apron project from the latest issue of Sew Simple magazine. (I’m not sure what is up with their website, but wanted to include a link in case it works later…).  It’s an apron–made from jeans.

I added some pretty Amy Butler fabric to the waistband to up the cuteness factor, and used the elements of the jeans to make it functional (my favorite part is the scissor  holster!) If you’re showing at a craft fair this summer, this would be the perfect accessory for all of your money handling. Although maybe not if you were planning on wearing jeans….there is such a thing as too much denim!

  • Your project is stunning! I would love to buy this issue of Sew Simple but for some reason since they changed from Sewnshop to Sewing District the service also changed - to VERY BAD! I am still waiting for an order I placed in November 2008 and now their online shop won't accept international orders! And I so love the magazine!

  • This looks like a really fun project.I could see dressing it up or down, like a favorite pair of jeans!

  • I love it! How do you think of soo many awesome ideas? I know that when I go to your website I'm sure to find an awesome link or tutorial. I'm gonna make the swiffer cover for my friend you posted about. Thanks yet again Linda. I will definately link to you when I complete the swiffer cover and blog about it, if that's okay.

  • This is a great idea! I also love your denim bibs. I used your idea with an old pair of maternity jeans and made six bibs for my babies. Thanks so much!

  • That is so cute! I love that Amy Butler print.
