Hip To Be Square

I’ve been working on more crocheted squares (again, from Jan Eaton’s Book, with slight modifications) again. Although I’m still iffy on the colors in this blanket, I’m sticking to my stash. It is looking better as I go along, or so it seems.

I think I’ll buy one color of yarn to join them and do the border, and hopefully that will tie it all together. I’m not sure what color yet, but suggestions are welcome. I’m leaning towards brown or white.

I never thought I’d be all that into blanket making, but it sure is a nice long-term project to have between the other ones. Since it’s not exactly cold outside, there’s not the stuff-I-actually-need inspiration, so these have been fun in the meantime.

LOVE YOUR SQUARES, YOU MUST HAVE QUITE A STASH.
TRY RED OR BLACK TO TIE THEM ALL TOGETHER. I'M FOR THINGS THAT SHOUT.

  • Hi Linda! Your crochet is inspiring as always! Love the colours! You have a lot of patience to take on a blanket. I admire crafters that crochet and knit a lot. It takes so loooong to make one thing, I know because I started knitting after seeing your projects. I have lost interest already and started sewing a bag again last night.
