Book Winner and Montana Landscapes

Sorry for my latent posting of the winner of Lotta Jasndotter’s Simple Sewing for Babies. I went to ye olde random number generator and it picked #31- RedHead. I will be emailing you for your address, congrats! I loved reading all of your comments about sewing for babies and which babies you would sew for. As for Crochet Adorned,  I”m going to keep the drawing for it open until August. Right now you have a very good chance of winning (details in the same post linked above).

And now to share some pretty photos of where we live. We went on a walk/hike (it wasn’t that strenuous, really, to call it a hike) a few weekends ago. This path is on some private property, but whoever owns it is nice enough to let the public enjoy it so long as you stick to the rules. I like that.

pretty hike

There’s a great view of our town from up there. Amazing.

pretty hike

Lots of wild flowers and a path that looks like it might lead directly to the sky.

pretty hike

We even saw some prickly pear flowers to remind us of Texas. It is much, much cooler here than it is in TX right now, I am thankful for that!  I am really loving Bozeman this summer. When I walk home from work, it almost seems fake: birds chirping, colorful poppies and gardens everywhere, and even the occasional bunny hopping out to say hello. It’s kind of dreamy. You can see some more hiking pics on my flickr page if you like.

I love the pictures. Thank you for sharing them.

  • It is incredible, isn't it?

Re: the swiffer cover-I'll make a few more and figure out a pattern. That one came out of my head, so I'll have to get it written down. The swiffer I have is actually the Pledge brand. The sad thing is I didn't look further in your instructions to see how to resize your pattern. Too lazy. Mine I started in the center, making the cover, DCing in the back loop, then went back to make the fluffy loops. I promise pics soon.

  • Beautiful photos. What a view!
