Last Stop & A Worthy Cause

Today marks the last stop of my blog book tour with a Q&A with Vickie Howell. She asked me some questions about how working on Adorn mag influenced the Crochet Adorned the book, tips for working with jersey, and more. Check it out and enter to win a free copy!!
And, for something totally different, I [...]

Whipup Review & Book Project Roundup

Just a quick note to let you know that Crochet Adorned was reviewed on Whipup today– and they’re also giving away a copy! Reading the post made me smile inside, I’m so glad that the book is finally out in the world and people are enjoying it.
Today I sat down with one of the knitters [...]

Bozeman Book Signing

I had a book signing for Crochet Adorned at the Yarn Shop (where I also work) this Saturday and it was great! We had cupcakes, I demonstrated how to crochet a flower, sold some books, saw lots of friends, and got to hang all of my projects out for display.

Let’s start with the cupcakes: it’s [...]

Pretty Project: Crochet Trimmed Pillow

Okay, I thought I wasn’t going to post today but of course I changed my mind when I saw the lovely pillow that Erin (of House on Hill Road) worked up– she used the trim pattern for the Scalloped Spring Jacket from Crochet Adorned.

Super cute, right? And if you read Erin’s post, you’ll see that [...]

More on the Blog Tour and Portland

Today’s blog tour stop for Crochet Adorned is with Kayte Terry of This is Love Forever.  Kayte reviewed the book and did a cool collage and discussion of crochet in fashion (and how it goes from runway to crafter and back to runway)– don’t miss it! Also, Jennifer Perkins posted a Crochet Adorned inpsired doily [...]

Next Stop: Naughty Secretary Club

This morning (or afternoon) head over to Jennifer Perkin’s blog for a review, Q&A and another chance to win Crochet Adorned. We talked about why I wrote this book (as opposed to a “straight up all crochet, all the time” book), what kinds of garments I’ve made over, and my personal history of adorning with [...]

Crochet Adorned on FutureGirl

This morning, head over to Alice Merlino’s blog, Futuregirl, for a great review of Crochet Adorned (I’m so flattered!). Alice talks about her favorite projects in the book, and then shows you the results of what she’s already been dreaming up from the swatches and projects in the book.
We’re still in Portland, getting ready to [...]

Look Ma, I’m on TV!

This morning Paul and I headed over to KATU in Portland to do AM Northwest. It was a fun experience– I’ve never actually been on TV before, although I used to prepare people to go on TV when I worked at Newsweek. I showed off some of the book projects and taught Helen Raptis (the [...]

Next Stop: Crafty Pod

Today, you can read a great  post about Crochet Adorned  from Diane Gilleland over at CraftyPod. Diane took lots of nice pictures of the inside of the book, so if you have been waiting to check it out, head on over! And, she’ll post later this afternoon about her project for the book, the Vintage [...]

It’s Heeere!

By the time you read this post, we’ll be moving down the highway towards Portland! Yay.  But today is officially the day that you can buy Crochet Adorned, so please run out to your local yarn shop or book store and look for it! And if it’s not there– ask them to order it, of [...]
