Scenes from LA

I finally sifted through my LA photos and uploaded a bunch of them to a flickr set. Here are a couple of my favorites.

tnna, LA, 2011 043
Downtown LA.

griffith observatory
Looking up at the Griffith Observatory. I love the simplicity of the building and of course, there were great views.

chiracahua national monument
Oh, and on the way back we stopped at Chiricahua National Monument in Arizona. Stunning.

I’m actually in the market for a new camera. Point and shoot sized, and good at closeups (for tutorials) and low light/night time situations. I can hear the lens of my Lumix crapping out every time I use it and I have never been as happy with it as with my Canon Powershot. If you have any suggestions to share, please do so in the comments. I’m seriously leaning towards another Canon but open to suggestions!

  • Love your photos, Linda! I miss the Observatory so much. We used to hike up there all the time.

I loved my Canon Powershot (I had an older one a few years ago) and now I have an inexpensive Fujifilm point-and-shoot too. I take about half my photos with that one, and the ones that don't need focus or other adjustment things with my iPhone. Keep us posted on what you pick out.

Thanks Susan! Sorry for my super late response...I do need to get another camera, once i get off my lazy behind. I think I am gonna go w/Canon for sure.
